Northgate Primary School aims to ensure all personal data collected about staff, pupils, parents, governors, visitors and other individuals is stored and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the provisions set out in the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018).

Northgate Primary School complies with the GDPR and is registered as a ‘Data Controller’ with the Information Commissioner’s Office (Reg. No. ZA219637)

We ensure that your personal data is processed fairly and lawfully, is accurate, is kept secure and is retained for no longer than is necessary.

Where consent may be required for processing, such consent will be sought at the time, but you are at liberty to withdraw any consent at any time. If you wish to request a copy of your data, please submit it in writing/email to the School Data Protection Officer.  Please include enough information to enable us to identify you and search for appropriate data.

If you are dissatisfied with this policy, have queries about our data protection procedures or wish to lodge a complaint, please contact the school in the first instance. Our DPO can be contacted by emailing office@northgate.w-sussex.sch.uk
