Northgate Primary School values the role that pupils have in the ongoing development of our school. Through our Pupil Leadership roles, we encourage and support pupils in making decisions and carrying out actions that affect them. Each of the leadership roles allows for pupils to: 

• Share their perspectives and opinions on issues that matter in the classroom, in the school, and in the community. 
• Have an influence in decisions about these issues as well as in the implementation of these decisions. 
• Participate as active young citizens. 

Pupils at Northgate understand that Democracy is important and many of these roles are voted upon as part of Democracy Day in the Autumn Term. These roles are continuing to grow and develop as Northgate Primary School grows and develops too. They encompass our school vision statement of ‘Together We Grow’ and enable the pupils to show the school values of ‘Respect, Ambition, Curiosity and Resilience’ in the discussions and decisions they are part of.
