New Reception Open Days for 2024

We are excited to extend a warm invitation to you and your family to join us for our upcoming Open Days at Northgate Primary School! This is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet our dedicated faculty, and learn about the enriching programs and activities we offer for our students.

We will be hosting two Open Days in Ashdown Hall:

• Tuesday, 5th November 2024 at 2:00 PM
• Tuesday, 12th November 2024 at 9:30 AM

During these sessions, you will have the chance to engage in informative discussions, and ask any questions you may have regarding our curriculum, extracurricular activities, and the vibrant community at Northgate Primary School.

Our team will be on hand to provide insights and share the values that make our school a nurturing environment for children.

Whether you are already considering enrolling your child for the next academic year or simply wish to learn more about what we offer, we would be delighted to welcome you.

Important!

It is your responsibility to make sure you have applied for a school place for your child. You Must apply online via the link above through West Sussex as they allocate spaces from Reception to year 6. 

Please make sure that you apply by the deadline to avoid not getting your prefered school space.

Please note that a place in Northgate Nursery DOES NOT guarantee your child a space in Northgate Primary School. 

The deadline to apply for a Reception place for September 2025 : 

      Applications will close on 15 January 2025.

Information from the West Sussex  website: 

Applications received before 11.59 pm on 15 January 2025

• If you applied online West Sussex will email you the outcome of your application on Wednesday 16 April 2025. Emails will be sent throughout the day so we can't give you an exact time.
• If you applied by paper form you will be emailed the result later this day if an email address was provided with the application. The admissions office will contact you to request an email address if one is not specified on the form.
• If you do not have an email address you will receive a letter by second class post.

Applications received after 11.59pm on 15 January 2025

• If we received your application out of time (between 16 January and 12 February 2025) we will consider your preferences after reviewing all the applications we received on time.
• If you applied online we will email you the outcome of your application on Wednesday 16 April 2025, as long as you provided an email address in your application. Emails will be sent throughout the day so we can't give you an exact time.
• If you applied by paper form you will be emailed the result later this day if an email address was provided with the application. The admissions office will contact you to request an email address if one is not specified on the form.
• If you do not have an email address, you will receive a letter by second class post.

• Applications received on or after Thursday 13 February 2025 are late and outside the normal admissions round. They will not be processed until after 14 May 2025. You will be contacted after this date.

Once you have been allocated a space with us

West Sussex will contact us directly with a list of applicants coming to Northgate Primary school. We will use the details that you have provided them to contact you in order to begin the admissions process. 

Our Admissions Officer, Miss Saleem will email all parents/ carers to collect an acceptance form. You will be asked to provide copies of your child's passport and birth certificate, and your council tax statement for April 2024/ 2025.

 It is essential that you provide us with all forms and documents requested as this may affect your child's place with us. 

We cannot accept any forms without the requested documents

The deadline to hand in acceptance forms, along with the requested documents is Wednesday 30th April 2024

Once the acceptance form has been completed and handed in, you will then be required to fill in enrolment forms. These MUST be completed and handed in to the school office BEFORE the deadline.

The deadline to hand in ALL FORMS is Tuesday 30th June 2024
