What's happening at Northgate?
On Monday 10th March Northgate’s Dance Club had the opportunity to perform at The Hawth, Crawley.
They have attended dance club practice every Tuesday afternoon and worked hard for weeks to create their ‘battle of the dances’ routine. Well done on their fabulous performance!
To celebrate 70 years of Northgate Primary School we asked the children in each year group to dress up through the decades!
Little Big Sing brings together multiple locality schools at a host school for a half-day singing workshop, led by a specialist singing leader. West Sussex Music provide resources for two songs for schools to learn prior to the event, which each school rehearse and perform together in a massed choir on the day!
On Tuesday, 15 children from year 3 visited the town hall to view the Unity pledge. The Unity pledge celebrates the diversity and inclusivity of Crawley. The children got to view the pledge and hear about why it is so important, visit the mayor's parlour and even got a biscuit and some juice! They were beautifully behaved and were great ambassadors for Northgate Primary School.
Year 3 have been learning how to quill.
This is a form of 3D collage using strips of coloured paper to make shapes. It needs fine motor skills and a special quilling tool. Here are some of the results!
We were all so excited to meet Guy Bass yesterday. His presentation was full of fun and laughter. The children loved joining in with the silly poems and asking lots of brilliant questions!
