Yesterday Year 4 children and staff went to St. Francis of Assisi school for the Big Sing. The children have spent 5 weeks learning 2 mass songs which they sang with the 3 other schools there and they also sang their own song as a school, "Blackbird" by Lennon and McCartney. There were over 300 children taking part.
The children's behaviour was exemplary and so was their singing. They sounded beautiful!
Mrs Stringer would like to thank all the staff who accompanied the children and a huge thank you to the children for being amazing!
Some of our lucky Y5 children had the opportunity to visit Crawley College for a STEM workshop this afternoon. They took part in a range of health, technology and creative activities including learning how to perform CPR and putting bandages on injured parts of the body.
If your child fancies having a go at some of the STEM activities, STEM in the Park is available for everyone tomorrow in Crawley Memorial Gardens and Crawley College.
Y2 have been learning all about Superheroes and made some ‘Wanted’ posters to help recruit a Superhero to defeat the Evil Apples! Luckily Mighty Man responded and came to visit the children!
Some of our Y5 and Y6 children were lucky enough to get free tickets to Crawley Town V Northampton Town - last home game of the season. It was a great day out for all the children resulting in Crawley winning 3-0!
Thank you to all the staff who took time out of their weekend to take the children and an extra special thank you to Mrs Anketell in the school office for arranging it every year without a hitch!
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated any unwanted items for our recycling collection today!
