    Chartwells

Our current hot meal provider is Chartwells. You will need to book your child's school meals 10 days in advance via ParentPay. If you forget to book on time, you will not be able to order anything for the 2 weeks you have missed as this will be locked in the app. The school can't change this either, so you will need to provide your child with a packed lunch until you are able to order again.

Parent Pay will send you email reminders to book, so please look out for them. You will need parent pay log-in details to access parent pay (app/ or on a PC/ Laptop). Please ask the school office for these details - please note: Parent pay details can take up to 2 weeks to set up after your child has physically started school.

    Free School Meals

Do you believe you are eligible for free school meals for your child? if you are eligible, your child's school can receive extra government funding known as the 'pupil premium'. This additional funding can then be used by schools to help provide good quality education and support.

    Family income and Beneft details:

Is your family income over £16,190 per year or are you in receipt of working tax credit?

Anyone entitled to working tax credit is not entitled to free meals regardless of income. Working tax credit run- on (paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for WTC) Universal credit (with no element of working tax credit)

If you are not eligible for benefits-related free school meals, but your child is currently in Reception, year 1 or year 2, they will automatically be entitled to universal free school meals. Please note that this will end once they enter year 3 onwards.

If you are eligible for benefits-related free school meals in accordance with the above criteria and your child is also receiving universal free school meals, please continue to register as this will enable your child's school to claim valuable 'pupil premium' funding. If your benefits change or if your child moves schools during the year, you should contact fms@westsussex.gov.uk

Free school meals will send you confirmation once they have successfully processed your application. This will take up to 15 working days.
