Northgate Primary School

Northgate Primary is a welcoming and inclusive school at the heart of the Crawley community. We are committed to providing a high-quality, nurturing education where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated staff, supportive families, and engaged governing body work together to create a safe, inspiring environment where children love to learn.

Our Governing Body

The governing body supports the Headteacher and staff in delivering the best possible education for all pupils. Governors focus on the school’s strategic direction, set key policies and priorities, and monitor performance and finances. They act as a ‘critical friend’ to the Headteacher — offering both support and challenge — and ensure the school remains accountable to pupils, parents, staff, and the wider community.

The governing body includes Parent, Staff, and Co-opted Governors, each serving a year term and bringing a range of skills to help guide and improve the school.
