What's happening at Northgate?

• Y6 Inflatables Day!

  Y6 enjoyed their Inflatable Day yesterday! The children got to have fun on a bouncy assault course, giant slide and football shoot out! The children got to blow off some steam and enjoy themselves for their last week at Northgate!

  

• Y2 Trip to Crawley Library and Memorial Gardens

  Y2 enjoyed a trip to Crawley Library and Memorial Gardens today! The children had a great time - despite the weather! For some children this will be their first trip to a library and getting to explore the shelves of different books. The children then went to explore the Memorial Gardens and play park to blow off a bit of steam after having to be so quiet!

  

• Y4 Park Trip and Picnic!

  Year 4 went to Northgate park and had a picnic as a reward for the end of term. They played cricket and rounders. Jack said " It was the best day he has ever had in school! " Arnika said " The trip was fun."

• Book Awards 2023!

  Book Awards Day!

   

  All the children in Key Stage 2 had an amazing time celebrating the books they've read for the Book Awards. During assembly they all walked the red-carpet and collected their certificates.

  Some of the children, those who've made an extra special effort with the book awards, were invited with their families to the after-school celebration event where they received trophies and medals for the books they've read and for the activities and trailers they've made.

  It was a fantastic chance to celebrate the love of reading that is part of our school culture!

• International Lunch 2023!

  Today is International Day at Northgate and we are celebrating our diversity and cultures in class. All the children have been invited to wear clothes to represent their culture or home country and we have seen some beautiful outfits!

   

  We also invited parents and carers to our International Lunch  to share a dish from their culture or country with other parents and staff. This has long been a tradition at Northgate that we celebrate and look forward to introducing to as many new parents as possible!
