Within our mountains and rivers topic, children not only enriched their learning through a trip to Pulborough Brooks, but we also developed our approach for assessment. Children were given the opportunity to consolidate and showcase their understanding of the topic by producing some outstanding models from cardboard. Putting the two topics in one piece really allowed the children to see the link between them and deepen their understand of both areas of the curriculum.
