My name is Hannah, and I am working closely with Alice on the Education programme for Good Chance's project - The Walk. Firstly, I want to say a massive THANK YOU for signing up to The Walk, and showing your support for Little Amal, and what she represents.
I am writing to send you some information about the 'Letter Project', and how you, and your school, can get involved.
We have been overwhelmed by the passion, commitment, and dedication people have poured into their support of the Walk, through their Acts Of Welcome, Make With Amal crafts, and conversations which have spread the word and inspired people all over the globe - from Turkey, to Britain,to South Africa - to engage with Little Amal and her journey.
Having left Turkey, Amal has travelled across Greece, and is currently exploring Italy before going north through Switzerland and Germany to arrive in Belgium, where, perhaps one of her most political and international statements will be performed.
Little Amal wants to deliver 10,000 letters to the European parliament in Brussels.
Each letter will be written by a young person answering the question:
What do you wish you could change in the world for children like you and Little Amal?
We would love for you to ask your students, their friends, family members and as many other young people as possible to answer this question, and send their letters of reply:
Uploading photographs, scans, or digital letters to our website -
Friday 1st October
If you are interested in joining us, please let us know how many letters you can send.
Once again, THANK YOU for everything you have done and are doing to support the Walk.
If you have any questions, or if you would like to organise a call to talk about the letter project, please don't hesitate to contact either:
Alice - firstname.lastname@example.org
Hannah - email@example.com
We can't wait to hear from you, and read all of your letters!
