Our school meals are supplied and served by Chartwells. Three meal options are offered each day, a meat based meal, a vegetarian meal or a jacket potato and filling. A sample menu can be found further down the page. Children with medical dietary requirements can apply for a special menu; medical evidence from the GP will be requested to support the application, please speak to the school office team who will be happy to assist you with this. Chartwells do not supply Halal meats and advise the vegetarian option for your child in this instance.
Who can have a hot school meal?
Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) are available free of charge to all children in Reception, Years 1 and 2 regardless of income.
For children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, hot meals are no longer free and can be ordered direct from Parent Pay.
Please see the link below.
How to Order
All meals must be ordered 10 days in advance of the entire week in which they are required.
To order you must register your child on Parent Pay, a website designed for ordering school meals.
If you require your child's log in one-time code, please contact the school office.
After this, you will set up your own username and password to access Parent Pay.
IMPORTANT: Even if your child is entitled to UIFSM or FSM you will still need to place an order so the kitchens will know what meal your child has chosen to eat on a specific day.
Any issues with Parent Pay, please contact Chartwell's directly on 01243 836 130
Benefit-Related Free School Meals and the Pupil Premium
Additional money is available to schools from the government for every child whose parent is receiving one of the state benefits. If you think that your child is entitled to receive benefit-related free school meals, even if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 it is important to register for a free school meal eligibility check so that the school receives the additional funding to support your child’s learning.
If you think your child is entitled, or if you are unsure please apply through the link below.
On occasion it may be necessary to issue a FSM voucher.
There are currently two voucher schemes in operation, Edenred and Wonde.
The links below may offer assistance in redeeming vouchers.
