School Meals

Our school meals are supplied and served by Chartwells. Three meal options are offered each day, a meat based meal, a vegetarian meal or a jacket potato and filling. A sample menu can be found further down the page. Children with medical dietary requirements can apply for a special menu; medical evidence from the GP will be requested to support the application, please speak to the school office team who will be happy to assist you with this. Chartwells do not supply Halal meats and advise the vegetarian option for your child in this instance.

Who can have a hot school meal?

Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) are available free of charge to all children in Reception, Years 1 and 2 regardless of income.

For children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, hot meals are no longer free and can be ordered direct from Chartwells.

Please see the link below.

All meals must be ordered a full week in advance of the entire week in which they are required. So, for example, if a hot meal is required on any day during the week commencing 16th October, the order must be placed and prepaid online by midnight on Sunday 8th October.

How to Pay

Hot meals cost £2.35 each which must be pre-paid. Payment can be made via the company hotline on 0845 603 7998 (minimum order by ‘phone £10.00) or by going online using the link below.

Benefit-Related Free School Meals and the Pupil Premium

Additional money is available to schools from the government for every child whose parent is receiving one of the state benefits. If you think that your child is entitled to receive benefit-related free school meals, even if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 it is important to register for a free school meal eligibility check so that the school receives the additional funding to support your child’s learning.

If you think your child is entitled, or if you are unsure please apply through the link below.

On occasion it may be necessary to issue a FSM voucher.

There are currently two voucher schemes in operation, Edenred and Wonde.

The links below may offer assistance in redeeming vouchers.

Please see the link below on help with redeeming vouchers from the Edenred Scheme
