P.E
We understand that PE is such a vital part of the curriculum. Giving all children the opportunity to practise and hone both fine and gross-motor skills is key to helping to support development in later life. Within this page, you will find snapshots of the fantastic PE learning that has taken place so far this year. From gymnastics with Miss Hewitt, to hockey and cricket taught by external coaches: the children have loved every minute!
Gymnastics
During our gymnastics sessions, we learnt straight jump full turns, straddle rolls, lunges into cartwheels and the straddle on vault while developing our understanding of the necessary flexibility, strength and control needed to perform the movements successfully.
Hockey
During our hockey sessions, we have developed our ability to: pass, receive and dribble the ball whilst on the move. We also spent time developing our flexibility, strength, technique, control and balance whilst also enhancing the key skills required within attacking, defending and winning the ball back.
