  • Well done Yaseen!

    Thu 20 May 2021

Yaseen from lime class is doing a reading challenge to fundraise and to buy books about diversity and inclusion.

After talking together with his mum, about what the word diversity meant and how the books can promote understanding and kindness, Yaseen decided he did not want to buy just one book from our wish list, but many. When he was told that would be very expensive he told his mum he would fundraise the same as she does for her many charities!

Yaseen is doing incredibly well and has raised £250 so far already beating his target!

If you would like to donate towards Yaseen’s challenge please visit his Just Giving page:

  • Walk to School Week! 17-21st May

    Mon 17 May 2021

    WALK WITH US!

We will be taking part in Walk to School Week. This annual event is held across all schools in the UK and promotes a five day walking challenge from Monday 17th May to Friday 21st May.

Walking has so many benefits from physical to mental wellbeing; aiding concentration and creativity and creating safer, less polluted and more welcoming streets. All that makes for a happy, healthy child set up for success in and out of the classroom.

Each pupil will be challenged to travel sustainably (walk, scoot, cycle or Park and Stride) to school every day for one week! Help us help the planet by reducing our carbon footprint.

We will also be running our Stop 'n' Drop all week next week for those who cannot walk to school but want to help reduce congestion around school. This is located on Barnfield Road in the layby. Just pull up, stop your car and a member of staff will assist your child safely into school.

Please note: The direction we need you to Stop ‘N’ Drop is coming up with the layby on your left hand side as you approach school on Barnfield Road.

Please do not try to stop coming from the other direction as this only causes further congestion and our staff cannot assist your children safely out the cars from that side.

    Thank you PTFA!

After asking the children over lockdown about how we could improve their playtimes, without fail, they all agreed an increase in equipment was the resounding success factor.
