  • Goodbye Year 6!

    Fri 23 Jul 2021

This week we are saying goodbye to our Year 6 children!

The children have had an amazing last week, performing their hit musical 'Shakespeare Rocks!', Bowling at Hollywood Bowl and enjoying a very warm, sunny day on inflatable bouncy castles and assault courses!

The children were even treated to the ice cream van turning up - which was lucky with the heat we had!

We wish all the children good luck at their new schools and we cannot wait to see what they can achieve in the future.

  • Garden Harvest!

    Wed 21 Jul 2021

The children have been helping Mr Stringer all year with planting, growing and harvesting our own vegetables!

The leeks were ready for picking and the children proudly showed off their crop.

We look forward to seeing what else the children can grow this coming Autumn.

  • West Sussex Fire Rescue Services Visit Reception!

    Thu 15 Jul 2021

Reception loved their visit from West Sussex Fire Services this morning! We learnt all about the role of a fire fighter, how to keep ourselves safe and got to explore the fire engine.

It was also lovely to hear one of the officers said that he had been to many schools lately and our school positively stood out. He reported that the children were well behaved and listened attentively. He stated they were a credit to our community and our expectations for the children were clear.

We are very proud of our Reception children!

  • Year 5 Survival Sleepover!

    Fri 02 Jul 2021

As this year has been full of ups and downs, the Y5 team decided to throw a survival sleepover for the children! They all stayed over night in school after taking part in a variety of activities with the staff and Mr Harder, our Forest School Leader. The children watched a Disney movie with popcorn, made a vegan Bolognese pasta around the camp fire, built their own dens for sleeping, learnt orientation map skills, played an ambush game with obstacles in the dark and used torches to find treasure in the dark!

They finished off the evening with scary stories around the camp fire with hot chocolate and marshmallows.
