The Grinch invaded Northgate!

Stealing presents, telling off the teachers - The Grinch had a great time getting up to mischief! 

Luckily, with the help of all the children and staff, The Grinch learned the important message of Christmas.

“Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas…perhaps…means a little bit more!” 

Santa came to Northgate Primary!

Santa came to deliver to all our amazing children a special present today! The children loved seeing him and asking him lots of questions about the North Pole!

We have been very lucky to have Gagan, a special guest from Hamilton Lodge to help with PE on Wednesdays.  Gagan is Deaf and partially sighted and would like to train as a PE teacher in the future.  She has been assisting Mrs Billington for the last 8 weeks and is hopefully going to continue after Christmas too.  This week she has been teaching the children to spin the ball on various parts of their hands, in addition to teaching us all lots of sign language!

Thank you for all your kind donations for Save the Children Christmas
Jumper Day! We have managed to raise an amazing £320.30!
This money will go towards supporting children in the UK and across the
world. This year, the UK Government have also promised to match every
donation pound for pound! Double the funds will mean care for all,
especially women and children in Kenya where the money will go to
support care and give medicine.

Thank you to all our parents, carers and friends who came to see one of our EYFS performances of 'Everyone Loves A Baby' this week! The children were amazing and it was lovely to see hear some festive singing, our first nativities we have been able to show in person in quite a long time! 

Year 3 were visited by some curators who brought some real Stone Age artefacts for us to examine, touch and think about. We also made a human chronological timeline!

It was awesome! Think we may have a few budding archaeologists in our midst!

The girls football team had a tough start to the league but finished on a high scoring a well fought 'team goal' that screamed into the bottom corner, in the last minute of their final game.  A special mention should go to Vinoja who had her football team debut playing girls 2 years above her!  One to look out for in the future!

Our Christmas elves have been working extra hard this year to make the school as festive as possible!

The children have been walking past and loving the real Christmas tree at the front of the school and decorating their own trees with their pre-loved baubles in the lunch halls!
