Thank you to everyone that baked a cake for our NGPS Great Bake Off!

The cakes and biscuits were all amazing! So much hard work has clearly been made.

Well done to all that took part and to our final winners! 

The children in Y3 got a chance to make pizza in class and at Pizza Express in Crawley!

The children have been learning about healthy eating and what makes a balanced plate, showing the differences between carbohydrates, protein and vegetables! 

The children that went to Pizza Express got to look around the kitchen, roll their own dough, spread their toppings and package them up to take back to school for a lovely lunch! 

Each participant had to do 4 activities which included 75m sprint, 600m run, vortex throw and a standing long jump.  Northgate came a very respectable 5th out of 17 with a notable win in the boys sprint by Anas. Well done all those involved! - Mrs A Billington, PE Lead

Y2 were visited by hedgehogs this week! 

The hedgehogs are from St Francis Animal Care where they care for, rehabilitate and re home numerous domestic animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, birds, various small mammals and reptiles.

The children got to ask lots of questions to support their Science learning about other animals.

All the children who celebrated Eid this week got to wear home clothes today! The clothes looked lovely and the children were really proud to make the newsletter! 

Year 3 have been on an archeological dig this week as part of their research into life in Ancient Egypt!

The children loved being historical detectives and found some great artefacts, questioning if they were primary or secondary sources and if they were genuine artefacts or replicas!

The children's learning of Ancient Egypt will also be supported later this term with a visit from Portals to the Past where they will spend a day learning all about the life of an Egyptian!
