Northgate Primary has achieved the Platinum School Games
Mark award for their commitment and
engagement in the School Games for 2021/22 and 2022 -2023! 

Well done to all our PE team, Mrs Billington and Miss Hewitt! 

Miss Powderly, one of our Reception class teachers, went down to Brighton to see Tom Fletcher at his book signing, Space Band! Miss Powderly not only got the book signed for Northgate's library, but managed to get a video too!

Thank you to everyone who donated something to our Harvest Festival collection!

We are always so blown away with the generosity of our parents and community.

This will all be taken to Crawley Open House who support the disadvantaged and homeless in the Crawley are.

Thank you also for the clothing donations, these will be collected by Mrs Sims who will be collecting it all for refugee families.

We welcomed Milton Mount and Hilltop schools to play 28 boys from year 5&6 on Tuesday to play in a friendly football festival. The boys played with great spirit, scoring many goals and were a credit to the school.

The year 5 children had an opportunity to play some rugby this week at Crawley Rugby football club in Ifield.  We spent the morning playing skill related games including running obstacle courses, gate dodging, target passing etc and then played some small sided games in the afternoon. 

Yesterday our year 6 girls took part in a girls football tournament with 19 other schools from Crawley. They played fantastically and only missed out on a place in the semi-final by 1 point!! Anaiya our year 5 goal keeper did fantastically not letting any goals in, and Anielleka our top striker scoring 2 goals for Northgate. 

Well done girls, look forward to the next tournament! 

Miss Hewitt - PE Lead

The children have returned from their Y6 residential at PGL Little Canada on the Isle of Wight!

They have had an amazing few days abseiling, fencing, swinging on the giant swing, building campfires and much more! 

The year 4 children got to spend the day at Crawley Rugby club on Thursday to learn lots of new rugby skills and how to play tag rugby. The day was lovely and sunny and the children showed great team work when it came to playing some friendly matches against other schools!
